Oak Hills – Oaks Hills off ramp of HWY 15, outer hwy on West side of fwy, 200 yards the road ends. Park there.
Honda Valley – Take Arrowhead Hwy Rd out of Hesperia towards Hesperia Lakes. Turn West on Ranchero, pass the middle school, turn left on Summit Valley Rd. Pass the airport, drop into valley, turn left on small paved access road for the aqueduct. Park along road.
Hwy 173 – Take Arrowhead Hwy Rd past Hesperia Lakes and the flood control dam. Turn left on Hwy 173. Park at turn out <1 mile, at PCT.
Deep Creek – from Bear Valley road, turn south on Deep Creek (rd east of the narrows), cross Rock Springs Rd, continue until you reach the power lines. Park on left side

Courses:
Sycamore Rocks – fast 4.5 mile loop with an expert option. Beginners run 1 loop, advanced run 2 loops, and experts run 2 expert loops. Mild elevation gain. Excellent single track. Marked with orange paint on time trial weeks. (20 – 60 minutes)
Oak Hills – fun 6 – 7 mile loop with an expert option. Many small ups and downs, fun single track return trail. Expert option uses many of the ridges. Marked with orange paint and irrigation flags. (30 – 60 minutes)
Honda Valley – 6 – 7 mile loop of beautiful winding single track starting on the aqueduct. Everybody runs the same course. (30 – 60 minutes)
Hwy 173 – all climbing on a dirt road that turns to pavement at 5 miles. Beginners go 2.5 miles to the bridge (~1000 ft of climbing). Advanced go 5 miles to the pavement (~1500 ft). Experts go 7 miles to the cattle guard (~2000 ft of climbing). (40 – 70 minutes)
Deep Creek – follow the power line access rd from the cattle guard to the saddle at the top. All Climbing! Everybody runs the same 3.5 mile course. (30 – 60 minutes)

Course descriptions (expert loops where applicable):
Sycamore Rocks – some short technical rocky sections, short steep rocky climbs/descents, lots of flat riding. Careful of pinch flats.
Oak Hills – some sandy/loose soil, steep short-moderate length climbs, a lot of short climbs, a few technical descents 2 or 3 of which can be a little sketchy, fun fast flowing singletrack section. This course works you.
Honda Valley – lots of winding singletrack, a couple short rocky climbs/descents, lots of short climbs/descents, rarely flat or time to rest, not very technical, trail is fairly smooth overall, lots of sharp turns/corners.
Hwy 173 – moderate non-technical climb on a dirt road followed by a paved road climb, soil is a thin loose layer atop a hardpack base, a few sandy sections & washboarded sections, there are a few downhill/flat sections that allow for some recovery. The climb starts off steep up a short paved section. After the lookout the climbing mellows a bit. The paved section near the end is steeper climbing. Slight downhill finish. This is the least technical of all the rides but will test your fitness. For singlespeed, 32x16 is tough but doable.
Deep Creek – like the 173 climb except shorter and steeper and no time to rest, a real grunt, bring your granny ring.

Who we are
Victor Valley Bicycle Club Mountain Bike Group is a small group of individuals who enjoy mountain biking, time trialing, racing, and recreational mountain biking in and around the high desert area. Our members often compete in other races such as Norba Nationals, CA State Series, Rim Nordic Racing, Southridge Racing, etc. Time trials are free and casual with friendly competition usually including beginner, sport, and expert level riders. Most of our time trial courses have loops of different lengths/difficulties depending on your skill/fitness level. Some of the courses may be hard to follow at first but can be learned after riding a couple of times. We try to mark the courses where ever possible with orange paint/flags and/or piles of rock also known as cairns or ducks and of course our tire tracks. If you like mountain biking, join us for the next time trial.
